My case wassent from magistrates to crown court for this very thing.I just pleaded guilty to an AHB and the judge basically points out what he wants from there. In my case it was straight forward - he asked probation to do a report on me there and then and I was sentenced the same day in the same court. I believe the normaility is different though.Depends a lot on your plea, complexity of case etc.
You might be a bit early in the evening for a sensible answer, snuggle, most people with legal backgrounds are probably still on their way home from work (but - I could be wrong).
Contrary to Boxtops thoughts I believe you have had advise from Eddie on this - I am the case he refers to which dragged on 10mths with a guilty plea. My charge was ABH - pleaded guilty but before I had chance it was sent to Crown because magistrates refused jurisdiction!
