Prosecuted for drunk driving
Well id vote for decapitation, but I guess that seems a bit harsh to you?
when you go to court, don't forget your toothbrush.
how did you manage to keep your license the first time, or were you also driving whilst banned
almost certainly a ban and a hefty fine
you'll go to prison if so

A similar thing happened to my OH (don't worry, he's paid from every possible angle, including from me for his offence). He was only just over the limit but driving while disqualified.

Basically when he went to court, the solicitor told him he was almost certain to go to prison. When the case came up, the judge put him in the dock, had it locked and read him the riot act. Then he gave disqualified him for 3 years, 1 years probation and three month's tag. He also has to go on a driver awareness course but will not get any sentance reduction for this. Once the disqualification period is up, he will have to take an extended test to be able to drive again.

The experience scared the living daylights out of me, but more importantly, did the same to my OH. I can't see him driving again (if he ever gets his licence back) with even 1ml of alcohol in his bloodstream.

And I think the judge was lenient. whatever this has cost us (its not nice having probation able to walk in any time they like, after all I haven't done anything wrong) I totally appreciate the danger drunken drivers are to pedestrians and other road users and am totally behind what has happened. My OH is now totally aware that actions like these have consequences and he needed to be.
Banned from driving for life, and a hefty prison sentence too, I hope...................if there is any justice in our system!!
