hey I'm looking for some peace of mind..earlier on in the year I was given a fixd pen notice for shoplifting and had an on the spot caution (I didn't get taken to teh station or have any finger prints taken I think these cautions expire straight after they are done) and now I'm considering applying for a part time degree to become a colelge teacher in the 16-19 age range..I'm a bit worried if the notice and or caution will show up on the enhanced disclosure as I know people say it depends on the nature of the job...does anybody have advice or had a similar experience? I think I may write a cover letter whenfilling in the application explaining what happened with the fine and that I'm completly over it

It seems you did not get a caution - which is something formal given at a police station. It seems you just got a warning.

ah ok so basically could that come up on the crb or does it mean much?
Ifd it was reported and a senior police officer thought it significant then it may have been input onto the police computer and may show up on an enhanced CRB check.
