I was prosecuted for harassment back in october 08. And received a restraining order to stop me contacting this person. I have complied with the order and have not contacted this person since october, and moved on with my life.
I had a telephone call today from a womens magazine, as this person is trying to sell them a story about me, some of which is true, however the majority isn't. What can i do to prevent her from selling this story? It has been suggested that I send her a letter stating that if she continues I will take legal action, however I'm sure i cannot do this as the order states I am " Not to approach communicate or contact directly or indirectly XXXXX XXXXXXX " Any advice as to how I can stop her selling this story would be greatly appriciated,

if i were you id get a solicitors advice. I cant see why they cant write to the magazine if not her
Dont fall for it it could be this person trying to get you into trouble by inciting you to contact them (they perhaps know that if you breach you could go to prison) Telephone the magazine and get them to put in writing what they so say told you over the telephone. If it is kosha then take legal advice or write to the magazine telling them you will take legal action for libel if they print lies.
Hi bman:

1. If you have a solicitor put the matter in their hands.

2. If not contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau for free advice.

3. Do not contact either the "person" or the magazine.
