If someone has criminal record (2001) will they be able to enter Turkey on tourist visa that you sign when you enter into the country or would they have to go to Turkish consulate in person?
You can just pay your tenner on entry. All that applying through the consulate would do is get you exactly the same tourist visa, but at a cost of 74.

PS: While quite a few countries ask questions about criminal convictions for work visas and residence visas, hardly any do so for tourist visas. (Canada theoretically doesn't admit people with criminal convictions to enter - unless they've applied for 'rehabilitation' - but they don't actually ask any questions. The USA does ask questions but they've got no way of checking criminal records anyway).
on entering turkey, there is nothing to sign,or fill in,(who told you that) when they check your passport, you pay 10,and your passport is stamped and you are admitted, they have no way of checking our criminal records,i shouldent even think, they coulkd check their own
half the country hasn't got electricity and they use their hand instead of toilet paper so checking your record is'nt going to be at the top of their priorities list.
