Adjournment

Hi
If you are to come to court and you feel that your defence is not ready can you ask for a adjournment.
Who do you ask ,I asked my litigation executive and he said the court would not allow it.

You have to ask the Judge. And feeling your defence is not ready is not quite enough (otherwise nothing would ever get dealt with). You need a really really good reason - such as having requested a medical report the doctor is unable to comply with the time limits; or an essential witness has been taken ill. Judges will not just adjourn cases willy nilly.
