Is it better to be a Probation Officer or a Probation Service Officer? What's the difference?

surely it is the same thing.
It's like the difference between a police constable and a community support officer.
Probation officers usualy have degrees, whilst you don't need one to be a PSO. PSO's usualy run courses with offenders, and do a specific task, wheras probation officers carry out more involved work
