Now that N Korea has a nuclear bomb should the UK address the problem by buying an upgraded missile system at a cost of some �20 billion?

No, because North Korea couldn't possibly get a nuclear warhead to the UK. Even if one were extremely pro-nuclear arms, that would be a silly argument.
Yea but the countries nearer to north korea might invest in some so it has a knock on effect.
I'd imagine Japan might consider it...

But can i ask, leaving our western viewpoint aside (difficult I know, I hold the same views) what right have we got to cast aspersions on a nation for just getting up to where, say, the US and UK were forty years ago? If I have a weapon, why should I stop you getting one too?
