Prison letters

Hi, does any one know how long it takes for mail to come out of prison from a prisoner ? im waiting for a letter and VO which was sent over a week ago.

gilly - obviously the case eventually reached a conclusion.
How long did he get?

I would have thought that if the letter and VO haven't arrived in the next day, or so, he makes an application for a new one........

Thanx, got found guilty but not sentenced till next month, didnt get bail either looking at 18 months though. all for a game of football !!

I think it depends on what sort of prison they're in, a normal prison the letters have to be read so there is a delay whereas in an open prison they aren't so they should arrive in the normal time span.

What prison is he in? It's a pain in the bum if they move them. Which they probably will if he's on remand.

D97x7 the person in question wouldn't be in an open prison as a recently convicted prisoner awaiting a sentence as they would 99% of the time abscond.

No hes not in an open prison ( i wish !) i have looked into the email thing, he has been receiving our mail just not the other way round. im getting bit impatient now

Perhaps he has incurred some sort of loss of privileges then?

They have to go through all the letters. It takes time.

Gilly unfortunately D97x7 could be right, but as the prisons are full to the brim I think it's more than likely just to be a serious backlog of mail.

I have found that letters take 3 days but have been waiting for two weeks nearly for VO's still not recieved anything
