I made a statement about a person's character following a murder. I am now being asked to appear for the defence and I do not wish to do so as I believe the person is guilty. Can I withdraw the statement? I have never been given a copy and cannot remember what I said. However, I know nothing material about the case, the statement was purely related to character.
