Hi Phanton

Sorry I should have asked whether anyone was arrested and whether the injured person has or has not made a formal complaint of assault to the police.

Who has described the offence as GBH W/I ??

Basically, the assault is unlawful and therefore a criminal offence. The police should still investigate and could consider alternative offences (public order offences) if the evidence is available.
Question Author

Hi Phantom

Basically, the police will continue to investigate etc to see whether anybody is liable for prosecution etc.
