Anyone out there got a spider phobia? I`ve just walked down the narrow, overgrown bit of my back garden to the gate, and walked right into a spider`s web. The web and spider stuck right to the middle of my face. Could be someone`s nightmare!

Yes I do - any spider over a centrimetre in diameter scares me. There is no way I can pick one up. And when I lived on the farm we were overrun with harvest spiders in august or september I once counted 17 huge ones over that period. I was a nervous wreck.
Spiders dont bother me. However, I have a shark phobia. Seeing as I live in Leicestershire, it doesn't give me too much of a problem
Oh Good God 237SJ...I would have been screaming!!!
That's my nightmare! Just moved to a house with garden from a flat and it feels like we're overrun. My OH is finally getting how much they scare me......

general rule of thumb, if it has more than 4 legs it will scare me. mind you jelly scares me and that hasn't got legs

Even worse, because I`ve always got lypsil on, the web stuck to my mouth. Not sure where the spider went..
Some clowns have a weird scary type thing going on. They freak me out.

Oh, and WASPS!!
Jelly mcfluff?!!!
I'm petrified of spiders, but the dog loves killing them. However, I wasn't too keen on the dead mouse he brought in last night either........
yep jelly i really don;t like it, its the wobblyness and texture, its gettign to the point i am actually scared of the stuff now
My Phobia would be to get marooned on a Desert Island with George Michael or Elton John ! Mind you I used to be a good swimmer........
Oh you'd be 'maroon' in certain places after a couple of days redman...

There you go ladies, sleep well tonight :D
Ha Ha snags !!! lol
spiders don't bother me - not even my nephew's red kneed tarantula - she's sweet, when not frightened, if she is she'll bite it hurts a bit but it's not fatal - they just get a bad press. I like snakes too. I don't however, like moths - those big flitty make a noise banging into the lightshade bob-howlers as we used to call them - if they like the light so much why don't they come out in the freakin' day?!
Can't stand them. I suck 'em up the hoover!

Craft, my cat brought a live mouse in, and put it down to eat his dinner! Some killer he turned out to be!
Spiders - my only phobia. Also dictates how I live. At work everytime I pick a box up I have a real fear that there a spider underneath crawling towards my hand. Sometimes I have to tip the box up on all edges to check before carrying.

I hate August/Sept. when you can guarantee seeing the big house spiders. I cant sleep in a room if I know theres a spider in there. I'm sure if a huge house spider was on me I'd definately be at risk from a heart attack.
just read your link Bob - enjoy the cold winters in the UK mr tarantula - you'll be dead by October ;-)
My garden is heaving with spiders, sorry to hear headwreck's sister threw her nests in the bin - I've always believed that spiders live in a happy home, so my home's certainly happy. The garden has ones with webs, and little skittery black ones, and quite big ones living over the compost bin where they catch lots of flies. I regularly get at least two little nests in the shrubs each year - the baby ones are so sweet, perfect tiny spiders. I don't understand spider phobia - I like 'em.
