Repossession of Car

My car was repossessed 2 weeks ago as posted on here earlier despite us proving that it was subject to an HP Agreement etc etc.
My husband took the train down to the Court this morning and got a Stay of Execution until 12th April. Tomorrow I am going down, again on the train to pick the papers up from the court and personally serve them on the Bailiff, thus halting the sale at auction due on 18th. I think I can guess the answer, but my question is..... does anybody think I could get my car back tomorrow now it is subject to a Judgement of Order? I'd appreciate anyone's opinion.

Some bailiffs ignore court papers until the 11th hour. Check out their history (if any) on the web .. Look in forums.

Thank you so much bednobs. I'm off on the train at 1 o'clock and I'll let you know if I get it back or not. X

I have just spoken to the Bailiff and he told me that I couldn't have the car back until the date of the Hearing which is 1st April.
However, he did say that I could get the court to fax him the order thus saving me about £30 in train fares etc and that the car had been withdrawn from auction. Half a result anyway.
I admire your tenacity- although I'm not sure how this really helps because presumably the money that was to be raised form your car still needs to be found by you.

Yes factor of course it does but we have not run out of money (although we have), we've run out of time. This will allow us time to win orders that we are expecting that will enable us to pay the money owed in one fell swoop or, worst case scenario, get us our car back which is needed for work when the orders come in and pay the money owed in installments.
I'm amazed the HP co. hasn't got involved in this - the car belongs to them!

And the bailiffs action is unforgiveable once they knew it was on HP. Who are these bailiffs?
