Just to get the terminology correct, probate is the process of applying to the Probate Service for a Grant of Representation. The GoR is the legal document that you MAY need to get any monies in the accounts of the deceased released to you as Executor. If you are saying that the bank or banks involved are agreeing that the sums are below that which requires a GoR being shown to them, then they will release the monies on application by you merely with a sealed copy (official copy) of the Death Certificate. Does that answer your question??
PS It helps if you add your response to this as an Answer to THIS QUESTION - not by raising another question which merely spreads your enquiry all over the show.
