Change of house deed restrictions

The deeds of our house stipulate that we cannot operate a home business. We would like to do some occasional Bed and Breakfast letting in our spare guest room. This could constitute running a business from home. How can we get the restriction changed? Having people stay occasionally on a B&B basis would not cause any disruption to our neighbours.

You need to look at the land title register to see who the convenant is for the benefit of - often a long-defunct builder, but it may be a local landowner.
That is the first step to resolving it.
