Up until when can a pregnant work? What is the Law on this? Thanks

Sorry...I meant to say up until when can a pregnant women work?
Depends on company policy and the nature of the job. But you can start your maternity leave any time after the 11th week before the baby is due.

If you have a 'safe' job, sat at a desk all day, perhaps, then you can leave it until much later.
i worked until 42 weeks with my first (he was born 42+3)

and up until i gave bith with second (40+4)

but it depends how you feel.
Blimey red what job do you do? I'm a nursery nurse in a baby room and found it really hard. I worked until 4 weeks before my due date 2 weeks earlier than originally planned but she was born a week early so I was glad I finished early unless I'd have only had a week to myself!
Sonak its up to you really but if you are planning on returning to work the earlier you take maternity leave the less time you will have with your baby
