once one of these has been granted (in small claims cases) how long should one need to wait until you receive money?

There is no set period. Bear in mind that they may not actually have the money and if that's really the case you may never see it.
The court will initially grant an interim order, which merely freezes the money in the third party's hands. There is then a hearing at which the final order may be made. The final order will state the date by which the third party must pay. Once the final order is made the third party has to pay the money ordered to the judgment creditor, and if they do not pay by the date allowed by the court, then the judgment creditor can enforce the third party debt order against the third party without further delay.
