NISSAN MICRA 2004 engine malfunction light on.

Petrol model. Light right hand side of display panel came on today. Steady orange/yellow light on. Handbook says indicates engine malfunction. Seems to be operating normally, oil level ok and running ok. Anyone any ideas without me going to "Nissan" and landing myself with a huge bill. Any help appreciated.

Could be one of many things to put your engine management light on, you will need to get it plugged in though to find out what the fault is. You don't have to take it to a Nissan main dealers though, you could take it to any garage that has the facilitys much cheaper that way.

yes check out local garage but phone first for a quote it can vary wildly for a diagnostic check but will be still cheaper than Nissan main dealer

Thanks got sorted with local mechanic. £10. Some stupid manufacturers code which disappeared when reset on computer.
