Not sure if this is in the right section.

I purchased a baby unit and it was damaged when I recieved it. A new one was delivered yesterday and this is also damaged. Where do I stand in terms of compensation. This has been going on for 6 weeks now

Either you refuse it, send it back and demand a full refund or, take a chance on buying another one, as far as compensation is concerned , that's something you should discuss with the seller , I guess you mean a partial refund, due to the goods being damaged,?
Your protection is the Sale of Goods act 1979 as amended. Goods must be of satisfactory quality (prior to 1994 this was merchantable quality) and match their description, I doubt it was described as a damaged unit, insist the supplier either replaces the unit with one that is not faulty or refunds your payment in full, your choice. You can of course ask for a sum of money to be given to you as compensation for the inconvenience you have suffered, you may find there is no remedy in law, which is known as damnun sine injuria.

Thank you both. The second unit wasn't as damaged as the first, so we have agreed to keep it as the damaged panel can be hidden, and the company has agreed a partial re-fund as it wasn't in perfect condition as advertised.
