Sky signal and trees

Our Sky has become almost unwatchable in a breeze due to a tree in a neighbour's garden that doesn't hang over our fence. If they refuse to trim it do we have any recourse?

can you not get your sky moved,i'd call the gugs out as you dont get a proper signal

He's been out today slinky and says that's the problem (we thought it was a loose connection) and that there was nowhere else for the dish to go.

OH has been round twice today with no answer. We don't know them and they may well be fine about it. Just worrying about the worst case scenario.

Worst case scenario - they refuse. Absolutely nothing you can do about it as it is not overhanging your property.

Even if it were, you could only cut the branches back to the boundary.

There is no legal right to receive a TV signal so unless they agree to remove the tree there is nothing you can do unfortunately, other than try cable instead if its available in your area.

Can the dish not just stay in the same place but be put on a pole to make it higher.

Luckily she said she'd always hated the tree (a eucalyptus) and let OH hack it back so all good now.
The trouble is the dish is already at the top of the house right under the eave of thatch. A pole with a dog-leg might have solved it!
