Drain Hoses in Washing machine and Dishwasher

At the moment I have two separate plastic drain pipes to cater for both. Is it possible to just use one drainage pipe for the two hoses and how is this accomplished. For instance the drain pipe would be too narrow for both hoses and so a jointer connection if available would be more suitable.

Assuming you have a standard 40mm waste pipe (white plastic), then a couple of "T" branches with one of these on each should do it :o)
