I want to study psychology or child psychology. I am not sure where to start. I have done a quick search on distance learning but how do I know if the company is offering a recognised qualification? It is a long time since I studied. It needs to be distance learning. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

The British Psychological Society ( http://www.bps.org.uk/careers/careers_home.cfm ) has a searchable database of accredited courses and qualifications.

You might also want to check out the Open University. They offer degrees, diplomas and single courses in various aspects of psychology and child development.
