can i withdraw my statements

my partner is due to go to court in sept for common assult and harrassment.
i did make statements to the police because at the time i was 9 months pregnant, and also happend 6 months ago,and was scared because of threats, but i over reacted because all he wants to do is see his two children. i was told i cant withdraw my statements because court date is set. what else can i do please help. or what would be the worse that happens prison, fine?
