I'd never heard of them, but research seems to suggest that they are involved as private sector partners in various projects that ultimately are funded by the Dept of Work and Pensions that assist long-term unemployed people and people with disabilities to get back into work. New Deal, for example. That is a well-established market with organisations such as Shaw Trust being big players.
Such funding may come with strings attached because Government wishes to ensure it gets return for its investment.
Please elucidate what you mean by being bribed.

hi, thanks

basically they have told her that she must take any old job for 3 months in order to get them to help her with a course.

the woman actually said 'you scratch our back and we will scratch yours'
3 months seems a long time, to do a pointless job

she doesnt really see any other way as she really wants to do the courses, but thinks it seems a bit odd...have to say i agree

so we just wondered if this was correct procedure or is this one woman just trying to up her record or something?
