I am a single parent, i have recently been moved from income support to JSA, which is fine, however JSA rules states that if i do not actively seek work they can stop my money also fine. Now heres the rub, I have been doing a job search every single day, i can provide evidence as i keep a record of everything that i look at and apply for. Now my last signing on day was on bank holiday monday, job centre plus was not open, and they did not give me another day, so effectively i have gone two weeks without money their answer was that i would have to get a crisis loan for those two weeks, now i may be wrong but this sugests to me that i have to borrow the money that i'm entitled to, for doing what i'm supposed to do, only to have to pay them back, and effectively going into debt with my bank because all of my bills get paid via DD, ironic as well that one of the jobs i've applied for is with job center plus, is this right or legal even, and have they done this to other other people

if your signing day fell on a bank holiday you should either have been excused signing or given an alternative day. you shouldn't just miss a payment. you need to go in and sort this out, expcially as there is another bank holiday Monday next month.
you should have put this in science or news.
