I want to work with children in the future... as a nursery nurse/teacher/etc
but cannot choose whether to do a course in Health and Social Care or just Childcare.
Is there less chance of me becoming more successful if I choose Health and Social Care?

You have two choices. Start at the bottom and keep advancing upwards through ever more courses/training etc or go for the better start and learn more and be in a position to decide where to aim your talents.
Eg Nursery nurse and aim higher or qualified staff nurse and then specialise. Try voluntary work to begin to see if you like it.
PS Don't shoose a wishy washy course like health and social care...it does not lead to a job. Pick social work if you chhose that pathwauy which leads to a very recognisable qualification. Hope this helps.
