Does anyone know how long it is before you can claim Job Seekers Allowance if you have left your job of your own accord? Thanks.

i know when my ex aprtner left his job on his own accord he was not entitled to jb seekers as they said he amde himseld unemoployed, but that was 5 years ago so it may have changed

It used to be 8 weeks. Not sure if it still is, and no resources online seem to want to say.
Make the claim anyway - you'll be told pretty quickly what the rule is.
