Electrical qualifation

what is the qualification called that is needed to enable someone to do a small amount of electrics as part of their job ie to instal a shower, change light fittings etc? think it may be 'P Part' or something? Also is it possible to do this course online?

You are referring to this -

Electrical Wiring Part P NICEIC approved

However, you need this first - C&G 2381/2382. (17th edition).

Part P refers to the electrical safety part of Building Regulations. Since April 2004 one has had to satisfy minimum stds when working on domestic electrical circuits - not all circuits - but certainly for installing electrical showers, work in the kitchen and installing new ring circuits. Or else you have to make a Building Regs application and have BC come and inspect the work.
The requirement is for a qualified electrician and the qualification mentioned above does the job.
