Hi,

I would like some advise please. I have recently moved internal jobs and my bonus was really bad. I am really surprised because I had a really good appraisal for both sections.

Does anyone know that when you move jobs internally if you should receive a pro rata bonus for each section you have worked on for that year because you are still in the same company?

Thanks

It depends on the rules of your scheme. It is quite common for schemes to assign a rating of 'new to role' or ' still developing' or something like that when they go into a new role, and this results in a lower bonus
My friend had a similar problem, she moved from one team to another during the financial year, moving to a new job & they were going to deny her her full bonus because of this. The bonus you've received probably reflects that you're in a new role & has ignored your previous service. You need to find out from HR/Personnel what the rules are & discuss it further with the managers involved.
