My husband has decided on a possible career change to plumbing. It would be something completely new, he has no previous experience.

Could anyone advise as to the best way to pursue this? i.e. a course or an apprenticeship or something else?

Thanks

I would say a course first but this is very popular so will need to enroll early. Then go working for someone in the trade and venture out on his own when he is ready.
a PLUMBING TRADE is a fine CAREER, but established colleges, are full to the rafters , with trainee/student PLUMBERS ......which has BOOSTED to NON AFFILIATED "PLUMBER TRAINING CENTRES" , which basically TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN ...... meaning traditionally PLUMBING APPRENTICE SHIPS took 3-5 years, like many TRADES , ---- these "INSTANT MAKE YOU A PLUMBER in 16 weeks " , type establishments, HAVE TO BE TREATED WITH CAUTION ...... I mean there are NON GOVERNMENT GRANTS , for this type of ENROLLMENT ......so one should be careful ,before handing over ones money.....(PLASTERING COURSES ARE ANOTHER- QUICK FIX -BECOME A TRADESMEN TYPE OF "SET UP") ........
