If somebody was given a disciplinary, would the employee have to mention it in any future references it's writes for the employee??

The employer should mention it specifically in any reference. Not all do though. Many employers ask a specific question about disciplinary records when they request references.
The specific request is the only way that an employer should mention this - any other way and, fairly or unfairly, they leave themselves open to a lawsuit for slander.
