my partner is a fully qualified 22 year old carpenter working in cardiff with 6 years experience inc. 3yr apprentiship, he is by far the youngest, fittest, fastest worker on the firm, but he's paid cosiderably less than people with the same job description/title/duties i realise he doesnt have the same number of years experience but he often gets left in charge of jobs others wouldn't do, and also has plenty of skills that the others dont

Is it fair that he is paid less? also he seems to get all the worst work because he needs the job (we have a mortgage to pay) so he never refuses even when everyone else would and has!

At 22 he is a man now he has 6 years experience he does the same work as the over men and more as you say
He should be treated the same money wise for the other they might always ask your partner because he never refuses so they no they can walk all over him.
Id look at what the other men do and do as they do because they seem to be doing something right.
