Wild Animals

Hi, i'd love to work with wild animals be it here or abroad, but i have no qualifications related to this whatsoever. Does anyone know of any jobs in this area where i can start from scratch, or know of how i can get into this area? Any information gladly recieved!!

i would suggest you start with tame animals, get to know animals, how to handle etc etc by doing voluntary work at pet shops, shelters, local farms etc, so that you have some people to give you references and you can get comfortable being around animals.

it would have to be volutary at this stage i think because of no qualifications. you can do this in your spare time if you have another job.

once you have this you could then try zoos and safari parks - again as a volunteer. if you show promise you may get taken on as an apprentice.

it really depends on what you want to be - with no qualification i think basic care is all you can ask, feeding, cleaning etc, if you want to collect data, be a vet, etc you would need to get some serious qualifications
