I found out yesterday I was 10 weeks pregnant and not 6-7 weeks I had worked out... I work as a temp within and recruitment agency I have been told that I will have a perm contract mid Jan should I tell my boss I'm pregnant and be up front and honest and tell him I really want to keep my job until I'm ready to pop and want to return part time after the birth or just hang on for that contract he has been promising and then tell him my wonderful news? do i have any rights as a temp to keep my job i have worked within to same job for 4 months.

I believe you have to have been permanent for six months or more to qualify for maternity leave. You have to tell your boss before he makes you permanent, otherwise you will get into trouble. I'm afraid to say that only having been there for four months and temping as well, they probably won't offer perm or maternity leave (obviousley depending on how well you et on with the boss, colleagues etc) :)
