ACCA accounting qualification

Has anyone done this by evening classes and how long did it take. Im a bookkeeper at the moment and want to take my career further.

I'm taking my ACCA finals in Dec but I've always done block release courses - this time I've got 4 days next week and 4 days in October and thats it.
I won't bother sugar coating it - its bloody hard work , especially if you have to do a full days work first and it requires hours and hours of work to be done in your own time as well.
Also don't mean this in a rude way but you describe yourself as a bookkeeper which means ACCA might be too high a level for you to start at - AAT might be better? A lot of people don't realise that ACCA level 2 is equivalent to a UK honours degree and the final level equivalent to a masters degree.
ACCA is definately something you should give a lot of thought to before you commit to it - unless your employers are willing to pay the fees it can set you back a small fortune. I've always been lucky in that my employers have always paid for all my exam fees, courses and given me time off - just the courses alone have cost around �1000 per paper!
