hi ive been asked do a police check in a new job in warehousing. ive asked a number of people there who have been there months and they have'nt even bothered sending there form in yet and no one from the mangement have chased it up!! so iwas wondering if companys just put that on there company requirements to scare off those who have something to hide ?? like me ha!

Dunno how many Companies put it in the Requirements to scare People, but I have had a Police Check and it's nothing to worry about. Well, presuming you have nothing on Record to worry about!!

One reason they may not have sent them in is I think that you have to Pay to have them done so maybe they don't wanna Pay....

It costs approx 30quid per person to have a Criminal Records Bureau check. See other question regarding this.
