As I have recently lost my right lower leg I thought I'd try and turn it to my advantage. With all the war, historical films and hospital programmes that are around now how would I find any agencies looking for amputees. Cheers.

point taken
Try sending your details off to the more popular casting agencies - they'll use amputees for programmes like Casuality, Doctors etc., as well as films. 20/20 and Maddog Castings are two of the bigger ones.

They usually open their books twice a year, so you might have to wait until September now before they consider you. They'll invite you to an interview, store your details and photo on file, and get in touch if a producer requests someone specific.
Also Aston, not sure whether you are at the moment or not, but they usually like you to be able to drive. It's not a prerequisite, but some starts are in the very early hours and don't finish until late, and can be all over the U.K., so you might want to bear it in mind.
Yes, but wouldn't you need acting experience or training, amputee or not?
If I were you, aston, I would make sure I sold myself as a 'person' rather than an amputee, since there are, unfortunately, many people that don't see past the immediately obvious anyway.
Good luck.
