I can never seem to get down to revision for exams and always end up distracted. Any revision methods that might help me overcome this problem? Thanks.

It may help you to goto your local library to revise, or just to an environment where there are likely to be less distractions than at home eg tv, computer, radio etc.

It may also help you to write up a study plan with rewards for you self. For example a 1 hour break for every 2 hours revision.

Try to break your revision periods down into lots of shorter sessions which makes it easier to concentrate than long sessions.

Hope this helps.

You may well be one of those people (me included) that can't/couldn't/wouldn't do revision. My concenration span for things that I have no interest in is painfully short. As a consequence I did no revision for exams and only passed (A grade) those subjects that I liked, so basically that was Art, Engineering Drawing and oddly enough, English Language. I scraped through the rest but frankly that was down to more luck than judgement.

I appreciate that this doesn't help your predicament but you can take comfort in the knowledge that you are not alone!

Revise with a friend, agreeing a study plan and rewards. If you distract your friend you'll be contributing to their result which can be a great motivator to concentrate for both of you!

Good Luck with your exams.
