I have been looking at living in New Zealand for a few years or longer....but secretarial skills are not considered "skilled"....anyone have any ideas of how I can get out there to work in administration..or what other similar jobs I could go for?

Hi,

I lived in New Zealand for a year on a working holiday visa. There are a few conditions to meet but check out this link for details

I signed up with most of the temping agencies in Auckland and was employed within a week of arriving in an admin post for the government. It's really easy to find work in Auckland, although the smaller cities have fewer employment opportunities. Once you are working in New Zealand it's fairly easy to either extend your visa or apply for residency.

Hi gwennie193 - thanks for this, I've been to the website and I can't apply for the working holiday scheme because I am over 30.....have I missed anything on there.....so it looks like I would have to go to a proper visa....

Thanks
