Do Bed-Warmers Exist?

Hi, everyone! Recently I've watched a video about weird British jobs and the nineth place was taken by "bed-warmers" who work in hotels and their job is to warm up guest's bed by a certain time. Does this job exist in reality?

Sorry but cold crisp clean sheets do it for me. I shudder at the thought of getting into bed feeling some strangers remnant body heat .Also I question the ‘average pay’, crazy!

Cold sheets are lovely in the summer. But my poor old bones love warm sheets in the winter...compliments of a good electric blanket.
I'd not want strangers warming my bed either.

Strangers warming my bed is fine, as long as they stay the night, and don't expect breakfast in the morning.
