What's the worst thing you've worn but was highly fashionable at the time
I wore a Shell suit ( hangs head in shame )

Bright yellow high platform boots Glam Rock style. They were from Russell and Bromley and really expensive. I shudder now.

i had platform shoes, which nearly broke an ankle, falling sideways as they were so unsteady on your feet.

Eeee, I was a mod too, striped T shirt, a Crombie , crop denim jeans and baseball boots , haha

when i was about 16 my friend and i thought it would be good to do our hair copying the paper dolls band i have curly hair but we went out looking like we had just taken curlers out and thought we looked great lol

Some people never grow out of it either :-) My husband was a rockabilly as a youth and he still dresses like that all the time now when going out casually - straight leg jeans with really huge turn-ups, boots and the de-rigeur black T shirt.

You did though Mally , when I was 15 I wore a hoop in an underskirt made of paper nylon to make my shirtwaister dress stick out, it was a bu-ger when you sat down haha

I bought a beautiful cream pure linen suit and thought I was the bees knees when Dad said - where'd get flour mill suit. Put me right of it and because it was linen I paid the earth for it, mind you via catalogue LOL

I only got as far as a very shiny, very purple shell jacket. No trousers thankfully.
I get the impression styles were a bit more extreme/showy than in the States. Or maybe I've just blocked it from my memory?
