work injury

iam 39 years old. my job was a tyre fitter for a family  business on average i would have to repair 60 truck tyres a week .now iam suffering from a bad shoulder find it very difficult to do anything with my both arms .i have had 2 cortisone injections but has made no diffence if any the pain has got worse.does anybody know if i have a cliam against my old employer i have been on the sick for 2 months now.
