Hi, I would like to work with animals but it's difficult to find employment just for during term time (I have dd who is 6 and has learning difficulties).

I currently have a couple of cleaning jobs and am registered self employed and would eventually like to give this up.

Anyway I have enquired at the local rspca centre and they take animal care volunteers on which sounds great as it's flexible I could do as little or as much as suits my lifestyle but obviously I wouldn't get paid, so I would keep my cleaning jobs for the time being and do the voluntary work on my days off.

Eventually I would like to work with animals and be paid so I thought the voluntary work could be the first step on the ladder and gain experience.

I'm just wondering how I could progress further from this and also are there any courses I could do to gain a qualification. It would really have to be online and part time to fit it in, are these kind of qualifications recognised as much as any other?

Any experience / suggestions will be much appreciated! X
