It is correct that when you are self employed you can offset a large number of things for your business against tax. Does anyone know where one can find a comprehensive list/more info. I have tried to the Inland revenue site but am going round and round in circles!

Cheers.

BECTU do a free 'Tax Information For Freelancer Members' information sheet (22 Pages A4) It's full of information you need.
It was last updated in Dec. 2004 - but this is the latest version anyway.
My eyes glaze over when it comes to stuff like this, but this factsheet was very easy to digest indeed! recommended.

I know you can get tax relief on toilet rolls if you work at home.
