Part Time Counselling Course

I'm looking at some part time college courses and came across some counselling courses held at my local college.

Has anyone got any experience of them? I would have to start with the most basic course which is £160 for I think 20 hours.

Are they worthwhile?

Does anyone, anyone, believe in counselling ? Or is it a bandwagon upon which people jump and expect to be paid the going rate for a graduate Psychologist?
My advice ? Forget counselling - it has as much credibility as astrology. It's a pseudo-science , Evian, strictly for the gullible.
