I just wondered if anyone could help? A friend has a job where a company car with fuel(for private and business use) is included. However personality clashes with the boss has led to a mutual decision that she will leave straight away but with 3 months money. However because she gets taxed on the car and fuel how does that stand with her wages as she is not taking the car for the next 3 months. Does the company have to recompense her for this? A quick reply would be most appreciative.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the help Zacsmaster- I'll let her know.
Check with personnel with which tax office the Company is registered and obtain their tax reference number. It may not be "local" at all. Then she must phone them, quote her N.I. number and the abovementioned tax reference and ask the office to amend her tax code and re-issue one immediately to her employer. They cannot adjust her tax deductions without a new code so don't wait for letters.
