I'm currently writing a careers profile for Retail Merchandising. It would be great if anyone doing this job could tell me a bit more about it!

Depends - do you mean Visual Merchandising (which is about making a store a pleasant shopping environment, dressing mannequins etc) or Merchandising as in the people at Head Office who make sure the right stock gets to the right stores at the right time, at the right price? The two roles are very different. Let me know, and I'll give you more info on the right one.

The second one, getting products to stores side of it, including working with buyers, planning promotions etc.

(Ps, if you are actually doing the job and would like to feature in a careers profile case study to be used by university students accross the land then let me know as I would be really keen to get in touch! Otherwise, all comments greatefully received!)
