Good Jam To Make At The Moment
29 Answers
Last year I told the local animal charity that I would make some jam for them to sell at their summer fete. They have just taken me up on the offer and the fete is in mid May which is earlier than I expected. What would be a good fruit to buy now?

I have made some lemon marmalade in the past, and you can always make other marmalade's that don't rely on Seville Oranges. I used to have a recipe for Grapefruit Marmalade, which was really tangy, but I lost it years ago.

It's just that I was looking at a recipe for it and it said to keep refridgerated. I was hoping to make a jam that I have made before such as apricot, blueberry or strawberry and I have been caught a bit offguard by the email saying that they have a fete coming up soon. I'm a bit reluctant to make something that I haven't made before but rhubarb does make sense. I would do one batch with ginger and one without.
