How do you repair a chip in the middle floor of a white standard bathtub?

Do you bodge it with filler and gloss or is there a better way? (note it will be submerged when taking a bath)

It is like ceramic good answer plumbworld scratch and chip repair kit although a little pricey at 25
....you can get little packs of self adhesive round thingies..............you know the ones you stick on to make the bottom of the bath non slip for showering...........very cheapo :o)

you can get an enamel filler, ive seen it in a betterware catalogue and im sure you can get something from a hardware shop and if all else fails try a rubber bath mat and no one will see the chip!
I repaired a couple of chips in an enamel bath about 5 years ago using Humbrol enamel paint (Used for airfix kits etc). Clean chip area thorougly, finishing with a lick of white spirit, & apply thin coats until level with original enamel. I think you wait 20-30 mins between coats. Mines still ok. If you`re dissatisfied with the result you can remove the paint with a small screwdriver blade (or put a ring of plasticene or similar around it & some Domestos will remove it in about 24hrs. Small tin of Humbrol about 1.50.
Oops! DON`T use Domestos on enamelled surfaces!!
Try using repair kit from NNREPAIR. They have different kits for different size of cracks. see http://www.nnrepair-online.com
