How does stress affect academic performance in adults?

Does anyone know of any research/reference links or have any information at all on this.

ooo big question. will try and find the research but basically a little stress helps performance (adrenalin) and performance under stress can be improved by practice.

Thanks woofgang. I will keep looking too. Levels of stress can be helpful and some damaging. I'm sure there will be something somewhere.
